About Us

The team at Aikijutsu Kobukai Australia has been teaching martial arts and self-defence in Scarborough since 2002, that's 20 years!.

Our goal is to provide world-class martial arts instruction in a friendly, safe environment.

Two integrated streams are offered, Aikijutsu and Jo Jutsu.   

• Aikijutsu is based on the foundation of the traditional Japanese Yoseikan Aikido system created by Minoru Mochizuki Kancho.  
• Jo Jutsu is the innovation of Yoshiaki Unno Sensei (a leading student of Mochizuki Kancho)

Aikijutsu Kobukai Australia is under the technical instruction of Darren Edwards Sensei (5th Dan) and is a part of the Kobukai International Budo organisation founded by Jan Janssens Sensei (8th Dan)
